Great History Of Our Campus
In the growing myriad of schools ,Manav Sehyog School ( a project of Manav Sehyog Society (Regd.) Jalandhar) seems to be an oasis in the desert, a fulcrum of unending growth, a watchdog for the malice in society, a sacred place that maintains its purity amidst the chaos around. The school was established in the year 2003. Since then the school has provided honest intellect and spontaneous creative awakening through a versatile network of academics, co-curricular activities and sports. Our mentors- Dr. S. K. Sharma- Chairman, Manav Sehyog School and his devoted team provide us their visionary guidance inspiring manvians to be “shresth manavs”

Founded in 2003, Manav Sehyog School embarked on a mission to provide quality education to students from diverse backgrounds. Over the first five years, the school developed a reputation for its dedicated faculty and commitment to holistic learning.
In the next five years, from 2008 to 2013, Manav Sehyog School saw significant growth in infrastructure & facilities. The school expanded its curriculum, introduced a range of extracurricular activities, & initiated partnerships with other educational institutions.

SECTION WISE ENROLMENT
GUIDLINES FOR THE STUDENTS
- Students must carry their Almanac to school every day.
- Parents should check it regularly.
- All students are expected to reach school before the morning bell rings.
- The school gates will be closed 5 min. after the bell rings.
- A disciplinary action will be taken if the children are repeatedly late to school.
- Students who come to school with their escorts will not be permitted to leave the school with anyone else. In case of an emergency, the person must carry an authority letter from the parent to take the sick child home.
- School is functional for the students from Monday to Saturday.
- Students are not allowed to go to a relative or friend’s house from school.
- Students using the school bus should maintain discipline in the bus. Bus facility will be withdrawn in cases where discipline is not properly maintained.
- Students are to be tidy and neatly dressed in school uniform on all working days and in school functions.
- All the text books and exercise books should be neatly covered and properly labelled. All the belongings of students must bear their name, class and section.
- No books (other than text books or library books) should be brought to the school.
- The school is not responsible for goods that are lost. It is advisable not to bring valuable articles like expensive watches, fancy stationery items and items of jewellery etc.
- Mobile phones or any other electronic gadget, if found with the student, will be confiscated and action will be taken.
- Lending or borrowing of money or any other articles is strictly prohibited.
- Care must be taken of all school property. Students should be trained not to damage any school furniture, write or draw anything on the walls. Recovery of any damage will be done from the concerned student.
- Students are advised to keep their classrooms/school building/ campus neat and clean. Waste material and leftover must be thrown into the dustbins only. Students should observe polite civil behaviour. Shouting, bullying or use of foul language is forbidden.
- Under no pretext should a student miss any teaching/games/activity period.
- The school has the right to retain the work books, activity books and any other material used by the students in the class.
- Low waist skirts/trousers are not permitted. Strict action will be taken against uniform defaulters.
- Office bearers will wear their respective badges daily. The student indulging in any misbehaviour directly or online which could be derogatory for the institution or any person will be strictly punished.
- The school reserves the right to suspend or to take strict disciplinary action against a student whose diligence or progress in studies is constantly unsatisfactory, or whose conduct is harmful to other students.
- It is mandatory for all children to take school tests. No retest is allowed. You are requested not to send your ward for the weekly test in case of any serious illness. The child will not be sent back after the test. He/She will have to attend full school. A student who uses unfair means during tests will be given zero in the subject and a warning letter.
- Parents and guardians of all the students should contact the teachers on the PTM days to note the progress of their ward.
- Parents and guardians must not enter the classrooms either to see their ward or to meet the teachers during school hours.
- Students are not allowed to use the school telephone without permission. They will not be called to the reception to answer phone calls during school hours.
- Change of classroom between periods should be done in silence and in an orderly manner.
PARENTS AS PARTNERS
Parents are an integral part of the school. Their active participation creates an atmosphere of cordiality and goodwill. The school associates them to create harmony and consistency between home and school environment. We encourage them to be involved in various activities of the school and share their experiences, insights and skills. Some broad areas where parents have been associated are:
- Helping children during Annual Function
- Presenting Guest lectures
- Arranging / planning field trips, work experience or excursions for children and accompanying them.
- Volunteering to assist in the Art / Music areas or at the office / when required.
A warm, friendly relationship between teachers and parents is a characteristic feature of the Manav Sehyog School since its inception. The parents share their suggestion through feedback forms / suggestion box/ Open House. The valuable suggestions offered by the parents help us to grow in a better way.
SCHOOL INFIRMARY
The school infirmary is looked after by a qualified nurse. Medical check-ups of students are regularly carried out by the doctors and a record is maintained. If the doctor is of the opinion that a child needs special medical attention, the parents are informed of the same.
Parents are requested not to send sick children to school for attending classes or appearing for examinations. This is in the interest of the child and at times his/her classmates, as well. Medical Certificates must be submitted so that the child’s results are not affected.
Students suffering from infectious diseases such as Conjunctivitis, Dermatitis, Scabies, etc. should not be sent to school until they have fully recovered. Students suffering from chronic diseases like Asthma, Epilepsy, Heart Disease etc. are advised to be under continuous medical supervision of a doctor, who is a specialist in the concerned field. History of their ailments must be filled up in the Almanac, along with the treatment and the medicines prescribed by the concerned doctor. Parents are also advised to keep the school infirmary informed about the medical / health problem which may have developed during the academic year.
