Manav Sehyog School Facilitates its Pre Primary Students on Graduation Day
Manav Sehyog School , Jalandhar acknowledged the students of Class UKG with a gracious passing out Graduation ceremony, who have spent their initial years of life in the school. It is the first step torwards formal education. Little toddlers were very excited. The gala event was also attended by parents who were as excited as the kids themselves when they saw their little ones dressed up in convocation gowns receiving certificates on stage. The ceremony was filled with quite a buzz of energy built up by the scintillating performances of the young kids of class L.K.G who were bidding farewell to their seniors. The programme started By invoking the blessings of God. The tiny tots performed on a peppy numbers and left everybody spell bound with their mesmerizing performances. Another show-stealing performance was the Punjabi Gidda presented by the little stars of the Kindergarten. The auditorium was set ablaze with a ramp walk and self-introduction in the modeling session. The pulsating music show rocked the ambiance. The Graduation ceremony was followed by the prize distribution function wherein the winners of the different events, organized during this year, were awarded medals and certificates of excellence. School Principal Mrs. Rajni Sharma congratulated the students and said these events help us to train the tiny tots to handle challenges in future.
Road safety awareness rally held by Manvians
A Public awareness rally for road safety was organized by Manav Sehyog School on February 8, 2019 under the able guidance of police commissionerate, Jalandhar The motive behind organising the rally was to develop the student as a national power, to make them think about development, in which road safety plays an important role. The objective of the rally was to bring the students to the traffic road safety information to all the people. At the beginning of the rally School Principal Mrs Rajni Sharma provided guidance to all the students by telling them about the road safety rules. The rally started from Manav Sehyog School and ended at BMC Chowk . At the rally, the students were walking along the slogans while chanting slogans with sarcasm. The students shouted out the slogans about road safety. It was not only about two wheelers but also for the drivers who drive four wheelers. The students spread awareness about ‘No Horn’ and to keep high car lights on highways and more during the rally. School Principal appreciated the efforts of the students and added that It was a successful event wherein the students also interacted with the citizens.
Manav Sehyog School celebrates Basant Panchami
To welcome the onset of spring season, Glorious day of Basant Panchami was celebrated at Manav Sehyog School with full favor and enthusiasm. A special assembly was also organized. The ambience was filled with jubilation. Students began the auspicious day with a prayer. The celebrations commenced with the Saraswati Vandana, invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati for seeking knowledge and wisdom. Little buddies of Kindergarten were looking adorable in yellow dresses.Children were explained that this festival was celebrated by many religions in India. People worship Goddess Saraswati, wear yellow clothes, eat sweet dishes and display yellow flowers in their homes. This was followed by presenting blithe poem. Students expressed their joy and happiness by presenting dance. Last but not the least, the students enjoyed the kite flying activity in the school grounds Principal Mrs Rajni Sharma said that school celebrates such occasions to make the students aware of their culture and tradition.
Manav Sehyog School organizes ENACTMENT COMPETITION
Manav Sehyog school does not only put its heart and soul to rise the knowledge of its kids through its unique technique of teaching but they also brings out the healthy spirit of competition in the kids by organizing wonderful creative events as well. Keeping this in mind, ENACT YOUR FAVOURITE ADVERTISEMENT competition was organized for the students of class III, IV and V. The children were divided into different groups .and were given different roles from the script which was then enacted and expressed in a very confident way. The young ones showcased their talents and performed their characters through their remarkable gestures, actions and dialogues. All the children participated enthusiastically. The competition inspired the children to think, work and enact creatively and promoted artistic excellence and made the event most enjoyable for one and all. School Principal Mrs Rajni Sharma appreciated the efforts of the students and added the it was a brilliant exposure for the students to showcase their talent.
Students enjoyed at farewell Party organized by Manav Sehyog School
To bid adieu to the senior most class of Manav Sehyog School, a farewell party was organized in the school on 2 nd Feb, 2019. The day was a fiesta, devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers to reminisce joyous moments. The auditorium was festooned with colorful balloons and dazzling lights. School Principal Mrs Rajni Sharma graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The ceremony started with the welcome of class XII students. Fun games played by the students added the charm in the event. The auditorium was set ablaze with a ramp walk and self introduction by class XII students. The judges put various questions and the students replied to them well. An incredible, role play based on student life, was well applauded. Students also gave a scintillating dance performance and the pulsating music rocked the ambience. The much-awaited result of the ramp walk and modeling session was announced. Madhavi Mohan and Nanjot Singh were adjudged as Ms. and Mr. MSS . Kirandeep Kaur and Bhavesh Mohan won the title of Best Attire. Kajal Preet grabbed the title of Ms. Charming whereas Raghav Mohan was selected as Mr. Hamdsome. School Principal Mrs Rajni Sharma congratulated the students and wished them good luck for their future venture. The students enjoyed a lot and departed from school with heavy hearts.
Manvians Enthrall The Audience in Meri Avaz Suno
“Words make you think. Music makes you feel. A song makes you feel a thought.” Owning this in mind, a solo singing competition ‘MERI AWAZ SUNO’ was held at Manav Sehyog School on January 30, 2019 for class I and II .It provided an opportunity to the students to exhibit their hidden talent. Students were inspired to come forward and sing their favourite songs of different genres. It was such a wonderful performance that the audience was convinced that great efforts were taken to present it. The aim of the competition was to harness the inner talent of the students so that they could feel proud and to be more encouraged for their future ventures, which was truly fulfilled. The occasion was graced by the esteem presence of our Principal. The competitors came out with a variety of the song and made the whole atmosphere melodious. All the young maestros sang to their level best and made the competition a great success. The winners were all appreciated by the judges. Manav Sehyog School Keeps Path Shri Sukhmani Sahib Ji
To invoke blessings from the almighty for the students who are appearing for their board and final exams and for the well being and prosperity of all, Path Shri Sukhmani Sahib Ji was held at Manav Sehyog School, Jalandhar on 1 st Feb. 2019. Manav Sehyog School conducts workshop and Mock Drill on Disastrous Management.
Through various safeguards and campaigns, Manav Sehyog School strives to make its Students aware and up-to-date. Keeping this in mind, a workshop on “Disastrous Management” was organized by State Disastrous Response Force Punjab Government on January 18, 2019. The speaker on the occasion was Mr. Manoj, Chief Inspector Punjab Police. He shared simple and easy steps to follow safety tips during natural calamity and spoke of the DOs and DON’Ts regarding possibilities of earthquake or floods. Some Students were even called on to present the demonstration under their guidance. He also spoke on the need to watch out for warning signs and practice safeguards to prevent occurrence of incidents that may range from inconvenient to life-threatening. Some first-aid tips and demonstrations were also given. School Principal Mrs Rajni Sharma appreciated the initiatives taken by Government and added that the session proved to be informative and an imperative lesson on life-saving skills.

Manav Sehyog School believes in all round development of their students. To accomplish this aim Students have participated in 143 rd baba Hariballabh Sangeet Pratiyogita on December 24, 2018 held at Shri Devi Talab Mandir , Jalandhar. Jaisleen of class IX captivated the audience by singing Raag Bhopali whereas Chandni Sharma of Class XI mesmerized the audience by singing Raag Asavari. Manav Sehyog School organized special assembly on Christmas on the sunny winter morning of December 24, 2018. They ushered in the true spirit of Christmas through their colourful performance. The programme started with the singing of Christmas carols. Kindergarten students delivered a special message on Christmas and its significance .Children of class III kept the audience rapt in attention when they performed wonderfully in a Dance based on the Christmas theme. Tiny toes tapped to the tunes of Christmas song. Little Santa spread happiness by distributing candies among students. Manvians Make the Grand Parents Feel Special on This Sports Day
Manav Sehyog School organized sports cum Grandparent’s day on 22 nd December 2018 with great zeal and enthusiasm. The event was commenced with the formal welcome of chief guest. This was entailed by the unfurling of school flag and declaration of the meet open by chief guest. Players marked the expression of joy and rejoicement by lighting the flame in torch ceremony. A spectacular, impressive and well synchronized march past by the students rendered the spectators speechless and awestruck. The most intriguing aspect, embellishing the event, was splendid field displays and involving mass student participation. Players displayed their enthusiasm, energy and team spirits in 200 Meter Race, Relay Race and 400 Meter Race. Proper balance and co ordination can be seen in Balloon Race, Three Leg Race, Ring Race, and Rolling the Ball Race. Students were motivated to cross every obstacle in life with Hurdle Race. Our Grand Parents were not less than others. They displayed their sportsman spirits in Balancing Race, Ball Relay Race and Hold the Ball with Hockey which added the charm in the event. The collaboration of teacher and Students in Melody presentation took the Grandparents in to flash back where they revived the moments of their youth. The chief Guest Mr. M.R. Gupta was superlative in his Praise. He lauded the energy, zest and vitality of the students. Manav Sehyog School organized Inter House Mono Acting Competition for Class VI to XI. Students from classes VI to VIII presented hilarious acts and made the audience laugh out loud with their performances whereas students from classes IX and XI brought up issues of grave concerns like Girl Education , drug addiction etc. Concern for the grand Parents was also depicted . It was an entertaining platform and was a great hit among the audience. Manav Sehyog School Holds An Orientation Programme For Class XI & XII
Orientation ceremony for the parents of classes XI & XII was held At Manav Sehyog School on November1, 2018. The purpose of the orientation was to make them aware of the academic system for classes XI and XII and also apprise them of the challenges faced by the students while appearing for the board exams. At the very outset the parents were acquainted with the highlights of the board result followed by the brief information of the examination system of these classes. The session proceeded with the open interaction with parents about the challenges faced not only by them but also the children at this transitional age. Last two years of schooling are crucial as these decide the future of the child. These career forming years are the foundation of their upcoming career choices. The child is often confused and finds it difficult to cope up with the anxiety due to coaching classes, school, competitive exams and Boards. Henceforth the emphasis was put on the combined role of parents and teachers to help the child get through this challenging phase with flying colors. The main points of concern were prevalent absenteeism, increasing burden due to tuitions, addiction to social media. Principal Mrs. Rajni Sharma answered the queries of parents. It was a spectacular day for Manav Sehyog School , as the School Bhangra team won Ist Position and qualified for District Level in folk Dance whereas Ganesh Vandna Team got IInd position in Inter School Dance competition organized by‘Satyug Kala Darshan Trust’ in KL Sehgal Memoria hall on November29,2018 .Students danced with grace and poise using various props. Just as a candle cannot burn without fire, men cannot live without a spiritual life. The morning assembly to celebrate Shri Guru Nanak Dev Jayanti on November 22, 2018 started with the shabad kirtan 'Sat Guru Nanak Pargatiya ’ in Manav Sehyog School. The spiritual ambience of the devotional Bhajans and Ardas rented a religious fervor in the air and the whole gathering. The students explained the life history of Guru Nanak Dev ji, the founder of Sikhism, who showed us the path of peace, harmony and righteousness. They also threw light on how Shri Guru Nanak Jayanti, which marks his birth anniversary, is celebrated every year. The message that the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev ji are of great significance to mankind and can help in transforming our society was beautifully brought forth by presenting a role play. The festival was celebrated by the students with great pride, honour and respect. Manavians added yet another feather in their illustrious cap with the budding students making their Alma Mater proud as they held aloft glittering trophies in Sabyatech an event organized by C T institute on November 13, 2018. Many schools had been invited and by giving tight competition to others, Computer Department has kept the spirits high as Gagandeep Singh and Aman Mohan procured first position in code debugging. Sukhraj singh secured first position in Digital Poster. Isha Sood and Abhishek banger were also placed on first position in Web Page Development . Manthan mehmi gained third position in still life. Dance team enthralled the audience with their energetic performance on Ganesh Vandna and bagged first position . All the participants received applause and appreciation of the audience. Manav Sehyog School Organizes Inter House Hindi Declamation and Singing Competition
To build confidence and hone oratory skills among students, Manav Sehyog school organized an Inter House Declamation and singing Competition on 17th November 2018. The competition aimed to promote the skills of effective Public speaking. The participants from class VI to VIII enthusiastically expressed their views on the topics like ‘Importance of Religion’ and ‘Olympic Games’ whereas The participants from Class IX and XI put forth their enthralling performance in Bollywood singing. The competitors gave out a variety of song .They came up with such melodious voices which in the run attracted the audience. The participants competed with a talented pool of contestants from all the houses. The students prepared for the competition under the tutelage of their respective House In charges and teachers. A great support was given from the audience side. All our young maestros who took part in the competition made the competition a great success. All of them sang to their level best. At the end of the competition, while declaring the results, the judges stated that the contestants from all the houses were well prepared and performed amazingly well. Children’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and gaiety on November 14,2018 at Manav Sehyog School. The students saw their own reflections on the stage in the form of their teachers who presented an extravagant show. Students were made aware about the importance of this day. The special attractions were the fun and sports game played by the teachers ; the huge applause by the students seem to further cement the bond between teachers and students, as the teachers reminisced about their childhood through their presentations. Manav Sehyog School believes and propagates the actual defined objective of education that is to impart holistic value based Education. To accomplish this mission and to sensitize the young ones, A visit was organized to Mother Teressa Old Age Home by Navchetna Club on October 30,2018. Students shared woeful experiences of all the inmates and offered them fruits, biscuits and things for their daily needs. Manav Sehyog School flags off the rally in Village Khambra
“Prevention is better than cure”. Prevention is a must when there is no cure - that was the message spread by Manavians in Village Khambra to make the people aware about drastic effects of Rabies. Accompanied by school principal Mrs. Rajni Sharma, school students and staff conducted rally in village Khambra on 29th. Oct. 2018(Monday) morning. Rally was flagged off from the school, which ended in a Nukkard Natak spreading awareness among the people about rabies and its effects. In their presentation, students depicted that Rabies causes acute inflammation in humans and other mammals. They acquaint the people that rabies always fatal after neurological symptoms have developed. Another message conveyed was the importance of cleanliness in our lives and students guided the villagers about the certain tips to promote cleanliness. Speaking on the occasion School Principal Mrs Rajni Sharma said ,"The rabies virus is common in stray dogs and their population should be controlled through sterilization and our children should be guided to keep their surroundings neat and clean.".

Manav Sehyog School organizes different competitions to bring out the hidden talent of the students. Continuing with this ,Mehandi competition was held in the school premises on October 26, 2018. The students from Classes V to XII took part in it. They made beautiful designs on their hands with help of Heena. The judges were surprised to see the efforts of the students. The competition received an overwhelming response. The zealous participants etched out an awe inspiring creative designs . Manav Sehyog School’s young and energetic players illuminated the school by driving the flag of victory in Taekwondo Championship organized by Jalandhar Independent School Sahodaya under various age categories. The competition was held at Berry’sGlobal Discovery School ,Malisian (Jalandhar) .Various talented sportspersons of the different school participated in this competition. Our enthusiastic players played exceptionally well and won numerous medals in different categories. In which under 19, Bhavesh Mohan, Aman Mohan, Navjot Singh and Gurpreet Singh won the gold. Whereas Harjot of class VIII and Vishal of class IX attained silver medals under category 17. Gurpal Singh, Gurkirat Singh ( under 19 )and Kamal Nijjar of class VIII got the bronze medal in under 14 category. News of these achievements filled up the feeling of happiness in the whole school. Manav sehyog school‘s Football team ( under 17 ) have kept the spirits high by winning Second Runners Up position CBSE Cluster XVI Tournament held at Doaba Public School, Parowal. The tournament attracted the participation by 64 competing schools teams. Students played with bundles of energy and enthusiasm, passing quickly and scoring a number of goals. To mark the victory of good over evil, Students and staff of Manav Sehyog school celebrated Dussehra on October 18, 2018 with great enthusiasm and energy. A special assembly was conducted, in which students spoke on the significance of the festival and how it is celebrated all over the country. The day started with the narration of legendary story of Lord Rama and how good won over the evil. The children assimilated the entire story with great interest and awe. They were made aware about ten evils depicted by ten heads of Ravana which needs to be eradicated from every human being. The students were inspired to adopt the virtue of non violence, love, and compassion and peace through poem recitation. While addressing the students, School Principal Mrs Rajni Sharma advised them to look inwards and equip themselves with positivity. She further added that each one of us must kill the devil of negativity inside us and become more caring and concern for others.

They made the people aware about In unvaccinated humans, rabies is almost always fatal after neurological symptoms have developed. "Our message is: educate, vaccinate and eliminate. Vaccination of pets and humans is necessary to avoid the viral disease. Those bitten by vaccinated pets avoid their own shot, which can prove disastrous later. Symptoms can appear after a year or even after five years. Rabies vaccine is important because there is no medication," As Manvians said. The prevention to be saved from this fatal disease like person bitten by a dog, cat or any such animal should wash the wound with soap under running water and then seek immediate medical help were explained. "The rabies virus is common in stray dogs and their population should be controlled through sterilization." Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated with great enthusiasm and favor at Manav Sehyog School on October 1, 2018. The purpose behind the celebration was to inculcate the spirit of peace, love and brotherhood among the students. Students also ensured their active participation in the function. They delivered speeches and recited poems highlighting Mahatma Gandhiji’s Principles. A Song depicting the role of freedom fighters for the freedom of India was sung. Our Tiny tots played the role of Mahatma Gandhi and were explained about his life. Manav Sehyog School organized the fancy dress competition for LKG and UKG students on September 26,2018. It was the most awaited event as it is always a pleasure to watch the toddlers dressed up as different characters and stuttering away in their speech. The students came forward displaying their vibrant costumes. The few to list out are pretty prince, charming hero, aspiring animal, ambitious angels, tiny drop , shining sun and many more. Students gave message to save environment through their vivacious costumes. To appreciate our little ones School principal Mrs Rajni Sharma said it was indeed a mesmerizing performance.
Manav Sehyog School organizes Swachhta Pakhwada
Recognizing the vital role in spreading cleanliness awareness and implementation, Manav Sehyog School, Jalandhar, undertook the Swacchta Pakhwada programme under the banner of C.B.S.E.- the campaign proposed by Government of India. The school chalked out a plan to organize a wide range of events.The campaign began with an informative speech and Swachhta Shapath on September1, 2018 inwhich teachers, students and parents signed the pledge that they will not litter garbage and keep their surroundings clean. On Day 2 i.e. September 5, 2018, Students were informed about bio degradable and non-biodegradable waste. In which Dustbin covering activity was done in the classes. Each student participated in this cleanliness drive with full enthusiasm and covered their class dustbins with blue and green color. On September 8, 2018, A Power point presentation related to Hand wash was shown to the students. In which drastic effects of germs on human body were explained.Students were given demonstration about steps of washing the hands through video presentation. Keeping the cleanliness motto in mind, cleanliness drive continued on September 6, 2018. Students circulated the message of importance of cleanliness & the responsibility of each to maintain the cleanliness is our surroundings through poster making activity. On September 12, 2018, students were informed about the spread of water-borne diseases in the special assembly. During the assembly an award ceremony was also organized to appreciate the efforts done by the students to promote cleanliness during Swachchta Pakhwara. Navaya, a student of class IX was honored for her contributions and Raghav Mohan, a student of Class XII was also appreciated for his initiative to cover class dustbins and segregated them as the Biodegradable and Non biodegradable waste bins. While leading the mass movement for cleanliness the School Principal, MRS. Rajni Sharma exhorted the students to fulfill Mahatma Gandhi‘s dreams of a clean & hygienic India.
Tree Plantation by Tiny – Tots of Manav Sehyog School
Kindergarten students of Manav Sehyog school planted sapling under the supervision of Principal Mrs. Rajni Sharma around the school to make surrounding clean and green. Students were taught about the importance of trees in their life. Manav Sehyog School Organizes Talent Show
To develop the cognitive and creative skills ,Manav Sehyog school , Jalandhar organized Show and Tell competition for the students of Class I & II and Dance mania for the students of class III & IV . The students participated with great enthusiasm and zeal in the competition and delivered an extraordinary presentation of ideas and thoughts. The participants were thrilled to be a part of colorful, vibrant and energizing event of Dance Mania. Hands, feet and bodies, in colorful costumes, twirled, flipped and jumped on the stage of school. Different kinds of dance forms: western, contemporary, hip-hop, classical , Punjabi folk etc. were performed by the students. The students gave a tough fight to each other. Cent percent participation by the children was the hallmark of the event . The intonation and voice modulation achieved was of a very high order in show and tell and the judges had a hard time selecting winners . The students were awarded with certificates by the School Principal Mrs Rajni Sharma . She congratulated the winners for the brilliant show.
Manav Sehyog School organizes a trip to Nikku Park
Manav Sehyog School believes that, all work and no fun make students’ life dull. In order to ensure that the students have their share of fun, a trip to Nikku park was arranged on June 7, 2018. The energetic and enthusiastic students were all excited and geared up for their fun trip. Students were given detailed instructions regarding their conduct throughout the trip. The Students enjoyed the fabulous adventurous rides which were followed by sumptuous refreshments. They had a gala time. Students’ happiness increased by leaps and bounds after taking up rides. Overall the trip was a very refreshing one and rejuvenated the students. It was a day filled with fun and frolic and a heart with long lasting memories. Staff and students thanked worthy principal ma’am for organizing such pleasurable and enjoyable trip.
Manav Sehyog School organizes Hands on Training Programme for Class XII
To make the students familiar with industry practices and regulations, A ‘Hands On Training’ programme was organized from June1, 2018 to June 5, 2018 where students class XII got exposure to different workforces from different industries. Students visited M/s. Patel Hospital, M/s. Alaska Industries, M/s Atam Valves and M/s. SMC Sanitation and they got a very clear idea about the working structure of the different departments in an industry. The school extended a warm thanks to Dr. S. K. Sharma, Sh. M. R. Gupta, Sh. Vimal Jain and Sh. S. K. Jain for offering their premises, their precious time and guidance to the students. Manav Sehyog School conducts a Visit to Fire Station
Excursions are the means of educating the children on how certain things work and how they rely on certain services. The Students of class I to V visited the fire station on June 5, 2018 .They got a hands on-experience on fire safety and the very important community helper- the fire fighters. They observed very minutely how firefighters use their fire truck in an emergency. The fire fighters showed them the different equipment used by them and demonstrated the use of a fire extinguisher. Children were ecstatic to see the hard work of fire fighters. It was a fun filled and informative experience for the students. The Students expressed their heartfelt thanks to the school Principal Mrs. Rajni Sharma for organizing such informational visit.
Manav Sehyog School conducts A Visit to General Post Office
Visits are the means of educating the children on how certain things work and how they rely on certain services Students of class I to V visited the General Post office, Jalandhar Cantt. on June 4, 2018, The children and the teachers were welcomed warmly by the staff members at the post office. They were taken around to see how letters are collected, segregated, stamped and then stored in different racks for the postman to collect; it was altogether a great learning experience especially in these times of email and whats app. The students extended a warm thanks to their school Principal for organizing the visit
Manav Sehyog School conducts an Educational Visit to OBC Bank
The magic of the field trip isn’t just the subject; it’s a break in routine and adventure that opens up the children’s minds to new things. To fulfill this purpose a field trip to OBC Bank was organized on June 2, 2018 for the students of class I to V. The objective of the event was that students can learn and practically see the various processes that take place in bank. They learnt about the different types of accounts and services they offer . The students also got a wide spectrum of exposure there and returned with zeal and zest. It was a wonderful experience for the children indeed.
Manav Sehyog School organizes a Visit to Reliance Mall
Involvement in a real world experience makes learning more meaningful and memorable as students learn from actual hand on experiences . To keep this view in mind, an educational Visit to Reliance Mall was organized on June 1, 2018. It was an enjoyable learning experience for the students of class I to V where they were exposed to different things available in the market. It developed their understanding about the process of choosing and buying things wisely. They were exposed to different sections and children also learnt the process of billing and simple mathematical concepts related to billing process. The students extended a warm thanks to the school principal Mrs. Rajni Sharma for providing this opportunity.
Manav Sehyog School conducts Solo Dance Competition
With the aim of honing the dancing skills of the students, A Solo Dance Competition was organized by Dance and Drama Club on 31st May 2018 for class I –X with the theme ‘Dance Warriors- Show your passion and moves on Dance floor ‘ . A large number of participants participated in audition round held on May26, 2018 . From which the students were short listed for finals. The vivacious dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic performances. The fun filled extravaganza offered folk dance form of Punjab, The spectators bore witness to the enthusiasm and energy of the young dancers as they enthralled everyone with their performances. In the closely contested competition, Asima claimed 1st position, Deepti won 2nd position and 3rd position was taken by Jiya in category 1. Similarly in category 2 Sehajpreet bagged first position ,Chahat got 2nd position, Harpreet secured 3rd position. In Category 3 Ist position was taken by Ramanjot 2nd position bagged by Navdeep and third position achieved by Ravneet. Dance and Drama Club felicitate the Principal Mrs Rajni Sharma and extended their gratitude for sparing her valuable time for motivating the students.
Manav Sehyog School celebrates Anti-Tobacco day
To highlight the health risks associated with tobacco use, world Anti-Tobacco Day was celebrated on May 31, 2018. Aspecial assembly was organized by Health and wellness club. The students were explained about the harmful effects of smoking and other tobacco products. An informative talk was also given by the students where they shared some statistics about tobacco use in India along with what really tobacco is, its physical effects and its effects on our academics and social life. An article ,focusing on creating awareness among the students and teachers on the use of tobacco products, was presented. A poem, depicting its effects on the nervous system, was recited . School Principal Mrs Rajni Sharma motivated the students to stay away from hazardous of Tobacco.
Mananv Sehyog school bagged Ist position in poster Making Competition
A poster making Competition based on the topic Bio Diversity Conservation was held at Pushpa Gujral Science City on 22nd may 2018. It aimed at setting a platform for all the budding scientists and researchers to present their real-time work and share their views and aspects related to the theme. More than 300 students from all over Punjab participated in this competition. Out of which Ritansh of Class 8 got First position. School Principal Mrs Rajani sharma congratulated the student for his commendable achievement.
Manav Sehyog School celebrates Mother's Day
It is truly said, “God could not be everywhere and therefore he made mother.” Mother’s Day is a celebration honouring the mother, as well as motherhood, maternal bond and influence of mothers in society. Mother’s Day is a special day of the year, dedicated to all mothers .It is celebrated all over the world. Mothers hold a special place in the hearts of children. The students of Manav Sehyog School were given an opportunity to show their appreciation for their mothers, a day prior to Mother’s Day. To show their love and respect for their mother, the young, enthusiastic Manvians of junior school made beautiful cards. They even drew a picture of their mother and wrote short poems. Some students even stood up and said something good about their mother. They were very eager,happy and bubbling with energy.Pot lunch was hosted for the mothers of tiny tots. The senior students presented a special morning assembly and expressed their love and regards for their mothers.
Manav Sehyog School celebrates Technology day
Technology Day was celebrated at Manav Sehyog school on May 11, 2018. A rainbow of activities made the day more colorful. A special assembly was conducted, with wonderful speeches, recitation of poems and thoughts on technology. Students participated enthusiastically and showcased their oratory skills by presenting a poem depicting the robot friend, who helped him in his daily routine work. Students were informed about the impact of technology on human life through an article. A play deliberating the various technological interventions that had been mapped in the recent years to make the country more robust and progressive, was presented. Students had a brief talk and brainstormed the importance, good and bad effects of technology that ended with a conclusion that there are both advantages and disadvantages of using technology and it depends on mankind, how they want to use them. School Principal Mrs Rajni Sharma motivated the students to participate in such kind of activities which will boost their moral.
Manav Sehyog School Shares Good Parenting Tips and Good Touch and Bad Touch with the parents through Orientation Programme
An orientation programme was organized for the parents of class I - III on 12th May 2018. The aim was to familiarize the parents about the Good Parenting. Resource Person Mrs Pallavi Khanna guided the parents about how they can be the partners in progress of their child. She discussed in detail how to sow the seeds of intelligence among the children .She also shared the importance of providing adequate and healthy environment at home to the children as it motivates them to achieve success and makes them positive towards life. Ms. Arti Puri Psychologist and counsellor guided the parents and students about “Good Touch and Bad Touch” The orientation programme ended on a good note with an aim of growing our children into happy, skilful and creatively well-adjusted citizens. School Principal Mrs Rajni Sharma reiterated the role of parents in shaping the life of the children and called for equal partnership from parents to successfully lay a superior foundation in the formative years of a child’s life
The Investiture Ceremony of Manav Sehyog School , Jalandhar,for the academic session 2018-2019 was held with great pomp and dignity in a special ceremony at the Senior Block Courtyard. It was organized by the students of Class XI and XII and they organized it with the high degree of earnestness and passion. The parents were special invitees. The Investiture ceremony signifies the reliance and confidence that the school consigns in the newly invested office bearers. Donning the mantle of accountability, they also pledge to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities. The school believes that the child centric approach will frame a responsible citizen. Labour day was celebrated at Manav Sehyog school with full aplomb. The function was started with a speech welcoming the workers and acknowledge their hard work. Prayers marked the beginning of the programme . Article presented by Samriti landed the ceaseless efforts of the work force of the nation. A felicitation ceremony was held on 28.04.2018 at Hotel Hometel in Chandigarh during 7th.School Leadership Summit organised by Elets. The School Principal Mrs.Rajni Sharma received award from Dr.Anup Kumar Rajput,Head Elementary Education , NCERT and in the presence of Sh.Sarvesh Kaushal , Chief Secretary cum Director of Mahatama Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration, Chandigarh. The sole objective of the event was to recognise and honour individuals and institutions that have made significant contributions in the fields of education in 2017. As many as 100 different schools were present in the occasion.
World Heritage Day Celebrations
To mark the importance of World Heritage Day, a special morning assembly was conducted by the students of Manav Sehyog School, Jalandhar on 18th.April, 2018. It’s main aim was to guide the students about the importance of cultural heritage and its preservation. The students presented trivial of activities to enkindle and induce love for our country’s heritage .They pledged to protect the cultural heritage of our country .A poem, presented by Avneet of Class XII Commerce encouraged the students to perpetuate their heritage. A speech presented by Anna Sharma ,a student of Class XII Commerce recognized the efforts of all relevant organizations in this field. Speaking on the occasion ,School Principal Mrs Rajni Sharma inspired the students to uphold their heritage as it is a treasure trove of past. Manav Sehyog School organizes Baisakhi Fair – Mela Punjabiyan Da.
The campus of Manav Sehyog School was reverberated with enthusiasm during ‘Baisakhi Fair –Mela Punjabiyan Da’held on 13th. April 2018. The festival of harvest was celebrated to acquaint the students with our rich cultural heritage. Whole school was decked with Phulkaaris Charkha, Chajj, Pakhi, Chatti and Madhani. Stalls of different food items like- Jalebies, Pakoras and Ganey da Ras were also arranged to give the environment a complete picture of our rich culture as well as that of a mela of RANGLA PUNJAB. A cultural programme was presented by the students of Class X ,VIII and IV. The event was started by invoking the divine blessings by chanting shabad. The students along with their parents relished Punjabi sweets and enjoyed every moment of the occasion. Vibrant and enthralling performances of Gidhha and Bhangra by Punjabi Gabrus and Mutiyaars mesmerized the audience . The occasion was graced by Principal Mrs. Rajni Sharma and She advised the students to plant more and more trees and laid emphasis on dignity of labour. She guided the students to learn a lesson of hard work from the farmers .
Orientation Session for the parents of Kindergarten held at Manav Sehyog School
An interactive Orientation Session was organized on 7th. April 2018 at Manav Sehyog School, Jalandhar to welcome the parents of Kindergarten students. The purpose of this session was to familiarize the parents with the school’s policy, philosophy, vision, rules & regulations and teaching methodology. Ms. Arti Puri Psychologist and counselor guided the parents and students about “Good Touch and Bad Touch”. During an interactive session with the parents, Academic Coordinator Ms. Rimple Sharma shared many innovative ideas, parenting techniques and healthy parenting tips with the parents. She discussed in detail how to sow the seeds of intelligence among the children as now a day’s everyone wants an extra ordinary child. She stressed upon the habit of reading which can be inculcated at the very young age. She also shared the importance of providing adequate and healthy environment at home to the children as it motivates them to achieve success and makes them positive towards life. The school Principal, Ms. Rajni Sharma apprised the parents about the curriculum, facilities & initiatives of the school. She also emphasized on the importance of Home-School partnership. The programme culminated with the class facilitators introducing themselves to the parents and open house session.

Manav Sehyog School commenced the new academic session (2018-19) on 5th. April 2018,with positivity. To seek the blessings of Almighty and ask for His grace for a fruitful session ahead, a ’ Hawan ‘ was performed in the school premises. The chairman Dr. S.K. School organises teachers’ training workshop on learning disabilities
'Teaching is much more than academics and accumulation of general knowledge facts' Following this concept Manav Sehyog School conducted one day training session for all the teachers under the able guidance of worthy Principal Madam on the topic Learning Disabilities. Ms. Pallavi Khanna was the resource person. She guided the teachers about the different ways which they can use in their teaching practices to identify the learning disabilities in their students. She suggested many activities also. This workshop enriched the teachers with positive attitude. This was a fruitful session for everyone presented there.
Two students bring laurels to school
Two students - Bhavish Mohan and Roopam Balu ,of Manav Sehyog School have brought laurels by winning silver medals at a recent International Squay Martial Championship. The event witnessed participation of contestants from Asian countries. Both of them have been selected for World Championship going to be held in China .
